Bruschetta with quince and sausage

This recipe brings winter on the table! This Bruschetta recipe combines the fruit with the meat, bringing the idea of the open sandwich to the next level! I normally use a large loaf of sourdough natural yeast bread but you may use ciabatta or your own favorite bread.

Ingredients

1large loaf of sourdough natural yeast bread

1 Quince cut in pieces

1 sausage ( I used my favorite leek sausage)

150 gr of cream cheese

100 gr walnuts

salt

Freshly grounded pepper

Olive oil

Directions

The bread is best sliced 1cm thick and toasted on a barbecue, but it can also be done in a griddle pan for ease at home. Grill the bread, then the quince and the sausage.

When everything is ready, you drop a few drops of olive oil on the bread, spread the cheese, then place the fruit and last the sausage. Garnish with walnuts. Finish with salt and pepper according to taste
